IS YOUR CHILD SHY ABOUT SINGING?
DOES YOUR CHILD SING “OFF-KEY”?
I believe a person can be taught to match pitches, particularly before the age of eleven.
I have worked with toddlers, children, young adults, and senior citizens, and have helped them learn to hear pitches and sing in tune.
With younger children, I play games and the child does not even know s/he is learning.
My father was “tone-deaf” and his four children can sing pleasantly in tune.
I believe when a child follows the basic contour of the melody, but does not sing the pitches that are played or being sung, that a link needs to be created. I can help create that link in most people.
I do not want anyone to feel embarrassed and self-conscious when singing because s/he has been told they cannot carry a tune.
I feel strongly that everyone can learn to sing if taught early enough!
